Kashimana obtained her Law degree from the University of Lagos and was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 2005. In pursuit of her passion for Maritime Law, she pursued an LLM in Maritime Law from the University of Southampton in the UK. Her dedication to the field led her to intern at the International Maritime Organization in 2010 and serve as a visiting researcher at the Institute of Maritime Law, University of Southampton in 2011.

With her specialization in Maritime Law, Kashimana focuses on resolving disputes related to Charterparties, arrests, crew mens’ wages, personal injury, bills of lading, sale and purchase contracts, collisions, and Marine insurance contracts. Her expertise lies in providing valuable advice to ship owners and their insurers on various wet and dry shipping matters, including active involvement in enforcement proceedings for LMAA arbitrations.

Kashimana’s knowledge and contributions to the field of Maritime Law are evident through her published international articles in esteemed journals, including the Lloyd’s List group. She actively engages in continuing professional development and currently holds positions as an officer of the Maritime Committee on the Nigerian Bar Association, Section on Business Law, and the Young Comite Maritime International.

Harold Tsumba Esq.

Harold retired as Senior Partner of the firm of Tsumba & Tsumba a law firm which he founded in 1978. Harold attended the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) where he studied law from 1970 to 1974. He went on to attend the Nigerian Law School in Victoria Island, Lagos from 1974 to 1975 and was called to the Nigerian Bar.


From 1976 to 1978, Harold worked for the Benue State Ministry of Justice before establishing his own private law firm, Sam Tsumba & Co, in Makurdi in 1978. The firm later relocated to Lagos in 1986, with a second branch in Abuja opening up in the year 2000. With the addition of other family members, the firm transformed into Tsumba & Tsumba, with Harold as the Senior partner.
He is now Of counsel with the firm and lends his experience and strategic knowledge in a legal advisory capacity.

Omaedo Osamor; An Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators of Nigeria, with over seventeen years of experience in Legal advisory and company secretarial services.
Omaedo Osamor is a highly Skilled legal practitioner with a wealth of experience in negotiating contractual terms on behalf of clients.

Her expertise also extends to legal research and negotiation, advocacy, real estate, energy law, and reform. With a commitment to professional development & excellence, Oma brings to the table diverse professional qualifications coupled with extensive work experience, making them a valuable asset in the legal profession.

Rotimi an experienced IT professional with over fifteen years of experience, he has a proven track record of successfully managing technology and leading teams to drive business growth. I am passionate about leveraging technology to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance customer experience at Tsumba & Tsumba, whilst also ensuring that our client’s information is secured.

In my current role as IT strategist, I have successfully implemented our digital transformation process to meet organization requirements which has improved work process across board. Rotimi holds a degree in Economics from Lagos State University, and he is a member of BCS – British Computer Society (The Chartered Institute for IT)

Samuel Kelechi Nwankwo


Samuel, a recent graduate of the University of Calabar in Cross-River State, Nigeria, holds an LLB degree. Samuel’s journey in the legal profession has been enriched by his experience as a law intern and a paralegal, where he gained valuable training and practical knowledge.

Samuel has also demonstrated his proficiency in insurance law through his written articles and has a comprehensive understanding of the recently implemented Petroleum Industry Act. Moreover, he possesses a strong background in general business and regulatory compliance advisory, along with adeptness in secretarial responsibilities.

Samuel’s commitment to excellence is evident in his meticulous approach to research and analysis. He consistently strives to deliver top-notch services to his clients, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations exceeded.

David is a highly motivated individual. His academic journey has equipped him with a strong foundation in law and a passion for continuous learning. As an intern at Tsumba & Tsumba, he has had the opportunity to delve deeper into civil procedure, gaining valuable practical experience in this area of law. This hands on experience has allowed him to witness first hand the intricacies of civil litigation and develop a keen understanding of the legal process involved.

Driven by his curiosity and dedication to staying abreast of the latest developments, David has also engaged in extensive research on a wide range of topical issues in law. This commitment to expanding his knowledge base has sharpened his analytical skills and provided him with a comprehensive understanding of various legal concepts.

Orimoogunje Jesudunsin Iyanuoluwa

Iyanuoluwa, is a graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University. She is a Junior Associate at Tsumba & Tsumba LP, and a highly driven individual, bringing both a solid academic background in law and a commitment to continuous learning to the table. She takes a keen interest in maritime law and possesses valuable hands-on experience.


Her commitment to continuous improvement is evident through her active participation in extensive research on several legal topics and is the editor of the Firms journal. Iyanu demonstrates analytical skills and versatility when faced with practical problems.
